All areas are open spaces within the Winnie Bagoes City restaurant (not separate rooms), and are available at no hire charge.

Our Spaces

 

Mingling Area

Size: 30 people maximum

A laid-back spot made for good conversation. Whether you're pulling up a chair or standing drink in hand, the Mingling Area has that easy, relaxed energy that gets people talking. Sitting just to the left as you walk in, there's room for up to 30 guests, with sliding doors leading straight out to the outdoor area.

The perfect area for:

  • Birthday dinners

  • Work team catch-ups

  • Engagement celebrations

  • Casual get-togethers

This is an open area within the restaurant, not a separate room. No hire fee required.

Big Area

Size: 50 people maximum

Right in front of the bar and impossible to miss, the Big Area is the go-to for larger seated dining. With room for up to 50 guests all seated, it's perfectly set up for sports break-ups, birthday dinners, and group celebrations where everyone gets a seat at the table. There's also a 52" TV if you want to make use of it, and retro video games add a fun, relaxed touch when the meal winds down.

Conservatory Area

Size: 20+ People

Light-filled and welcoming, the Conservatory is a fantastic space for seated events. Located to the right as your walk in, it catches great natural light throughout the day and opens out to the deck through sliding doors. Includes a 52" TV.

The perfect area for:

  • Birthday dinners

  • Team lunches and dinners

  • Company events

  • Family celebrations

Big Big Area

Size: 75 people maximum

Big Area + Conservatory

Need a bit more room? The Big Big Area combines the Big Area and Conservatory into one, giving you the largest seated event space in Winnies City. With two 52" TVs, retro video game machines, and access to the deck, it's a seriously fun setup for bigger groups.

The perfect area for:

  • Large birthday celebrations

  • Sports break-ups

  • Family and group reunions or celebrations

  • Team events and dinners

  • Company events

Frequently Asked Questions - Winnies City Event Spaces

  • There's no hire fee for any of our spaces. A minimum spend may apply depending on your group size and booking - we'll confirm this when you enquire.

  • All of our function areas are open spaces within the Winnie Bagoes City restaurant, not separate rooms. You'll still have your own defined area and we'll do our best to make it feel like your own.

  • Yes, you're welcome to bring a cake! Please note a $20 NZD cake fee applies.

  • We're best set up for seated dining events - think birthdays, engagement parties, team dinners, sports break-ups, family get-togethers, company events, and similar occasions.
